We anticipate re-opening our morning service at the beginning of September. Although church services are now permitted we're still in the process of risk assessing so that when we do re-open things are as safe as possible for all who attend. Meanwhile we are recording a weekly sermon which you can find on our "Media" page.
We do hope to be welcoming you at a church service very soon!
We also put out a Pastoral Letter each week which can be accessed on a page labelled "Lockdown Letters".
If there is any way in which the church can be of help to you, or you have a prayer request, or you wish to get in touch then please send a message using our "Contact" page and we will get back to you.
We at Ackhill Baptist Church are a small rural Christian fellowship meeting in the beautiful hamlet of Dolley Green.
We are found just outside Presteigne on the famous Offa's Dyke Path.
Our simple aim is to live as disciples of Jesus and to make disciples of Jesus.
We look to the Bible as God's Word, seeking to understand it and apply it to our lives.
Our concern is to reach out to the rural community of Presteigne and Knighton, as well as further afield, with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Our Pastor is Richard Mansell.
Richard and his family moved from Birmingham to Ackhill Baptist Church in June 2015. He is married to Sally and they have two young children, Jonathan and Heidi.
Richard was an evangelist with Birmingham City Mission for 7 years, where he worked with Fatherless Barn Evangelical Church and Helier Chapel (now Crossway Church).
He was trained in ministry at his home church, Leominster Baptist Church, just over the border in Hereforshire.
He is a passionate road cyclist!
We presently have two Deacons who serve the church and form a leadership team with Richard.
