Welcome to Ackhill Baptist Church!
We're a Christian Church just outside Presteigne on the famous Offa's Dyke Path.
Come along to our Sunday Morning Service at 11am. We do not currently have an evening service.
Our time of worship together involves songs, prayer and teaching from the Bible. Young children can usually leave the service during the sermon for age appropriate teaching. Come as you are and find out what it means to be a Christian.
All ages are welcome as well as all backgrounds, whether you've been a Christian for many years or are just wondering what it's all about.
Our simple aim is to live as disciples of Jesus and to make disciples of Jesus. We look to the Bible as God's Word, seeking together to understand it and apply it to our lives.
Our concern is to reach out to the rural community of Presteigne and Knighton, as well as further afield, with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Our Pastor is Richard Mansell.
Richard and his family moved from Birmingham to Ackhill Baptist Church in June 2015. He is married to Sally and they have two young children, Jonathan and Heidi.
Richard was an evangelist with Birmingham City Mission for 7 years, where he worked with Fatherless Barn Evangelical Church and Helier Chapel (now Crossway Church).
He was trained in ministry at his home church, Leominster Baptist Church, just over the border in Herefordshire.
Before working with churches Richard studied Environmental Biology.

Deacons
We currently have one Deacon, Phil Pain, who serves the church and forms a leadership team with Richard.
Our church Treasurer is Maddy Pain. Phil and Maddy live in Knighton.
